Rouleur King of the Early Classics 2012
The Rouleur King of the Early Classics supported by David Rumm of Rumm Employment Law, is open to all riders who finish all three early season regional classics, the Jock Wadley and Wally Gimber with the third and final event being the Dengie Tour of the Marshes to be held on April 1.
2011: Ian Cleverly (Rouleur), Andrew Griffiths 2nd, Marcel Six 1st, Adam Norris 3rd & organiser Alan Rosner
The title is deserving of an appropriate trophy and the winner will receive a genuine old original Belgian cobble mounted on an engraved plinth, £100 courtesy of Rumm Employment Law - www.rummlaw.co.uk.
After the holding of the Jock Wadley and Wally Gimber regional classics, the rankings for riders who have finished each and have scored BC points are led by Wally Gimber winner Matt Jones (Team Corley Cycles RT-Blue ).
Ian Cleverly of Rouleur said: "We have been supporters of Alan Rosner's Dengie race since it began and it's an event we are proud to be associated with. It's great to see it grow so fast and now attract the biggest teams in domestic racing as a Premier Calendar event.
The Maldon Dengie Tour, in conjunction with the historic early season races of the Jock Wadley and the Wally Gimber, makes a tough trio of races. The winner of the Rouleur King of the Early Season Classics will be a hardman indeed - just the kind of guy we like!"
